 There's No Food Like Home-

Did we spend the whole month of February eating out? Maybe, but I don't want to think about it! Finally the kitchen (and everything else) is clean enough to prepare our own food in!

This was our second homemade meal (the first was wakame udon; sorry no pictures!) and it was GREAT! Toasted chicken salad (the left pocket's was a melt) with an unintentionally generous amount of mayonnaise and a lot of fresh real veggies plus a cute pickle to complete the meal. Yumyumyumyumyum.

methinks you be readying to come home!

Well, by "home-" I meant home-cooked. I could've made a documemtary about eating out for a month straight in Japan called Super Feed Me Fat and Deprive Me of Fresh Vegetables =B

On the positive side I got my fill of Japanese style food and tried some new things I otherwise wouldn't have bought.

Hey.. Fp,
The sandwich looks fab..!! i love chicken salad sandwiches.. and last christmas.. my spouse's aunt gave me a sandwich maker for christmas.. and i've only used it once..!! terrible.. ain't i.. ??? but looking at your sandwich.. i'm inspired to make some myself tomorrow.. ;)

Oh sandwich makers are fun! Sometimes they are messier than just using a pan though, but that can be what makes it fun. I think when Chloe gets a little older she'll enjoy sandwich maker sandwiches, no?

Seize the food, for Japan is time-service only! In other words, this blog is to preserve, share, and make the most of my six months left living in Japan. Yes, I am obsessed with food. Cheap food!

Life is short so I eat fast, lest it get cold or disappear. I'm currently teaching English in Japan for two years. I was born and raised in California, and will be returning there in Summer 2005. I was ovo-lacto-vegetarian for about seven years but decided to let it go during second year in Japan!
